Tuition and Fees

The One Stop Student Services website gives specific information concerning tuition and fees.

For the 2012-2013 academic year:

  • semester tuition for full-time enrollment (6-14 credits) is $7,285 for residents and $11,160 for nonresidents
  • per-credit rate for enrollment below 6 credits or above 14 credits is $1,214 for residents and $1,860 for nonresidents

Graduate Assistant Health-Care Plan

Graduate Assistants employed at a rate of 25% or more are eligible for the Graduate Assistant Health-Care Plan. The University pays 50% of the premium cost for those employed at 25%; and 100% of the cost for those employed at 50%. Out-of-State Students

The Programs in Comparative Studies in Discourse and Society and Comparative Literature welcome students from other states and from other countries. There is a two-tier tuition scale, one for students who have resided in Minnesota at least a year before commencing higher education (resident) and one for students from outside the state (nonresident).

Teaching Assistants and major Fellowship holders qualify immediately for resident rates.
